There is something SO CHIC about traveling for work 💅

“I’m in LA on business!”

“Sorry, can’t! I’ve got a brand video shoot upstate!”

Both sentences I’ve been lucky enough to say over the past few months.

As a fully remote queen, I love any time I get to travel to hang out with the homies from work.

The only time it gets slightly overwhelming is when the trip in question:

So I flew all the way from NYC to to LA for Zapier’s 2026 Summit 😎

Here’s the newsletter version of an IG photo dump from the trip!

Day 1: Meeting everyone IRL

So literally my second week on the job, I was flying out to meet the entire team in person.

I've only ever worked remotely, so the 1 week a year where you see people IRL is a very big deal!! And I barely had time to plan my outfits!!

But even as someone who loves meeting new people, I was lowkey overwhelmed by just how many people there were….

Day 2: Learning & Building

The Summit was packed with sessions: learning Zapier, exploring Cursor, diving into other AI tools, and brainstorming our marketing strategy for the year ahead.

Yes, this girl attended Zapier 101 and built her very first Zap. Likeeee I’m kind of a builder now 💅

Getting to meet everyone in person, hear leadership talk about their vision for the business, and actually learn how to build things (in my second week) was such incredible context to have so early on.

Day 3: My Super Bowl (literally)

Zapier's first ever Super Bowl commercial dropped while we were all at Summit, so of course we had to activate everyone to make some noise on Linkedin.

As part of the social campaign to get some attention to it, we encouraged all the Zapier employees change their Linkedin profile picture to this guy named AL, the star of our commercial.

And, thankfully, people were so down to clown lol

How did we do this? I literally walked around to every table at breakfast and asked everyone to change their Linkedin pfps to our guy AL (and handed out some written instructions).

We made it a fun little contest: one of the people who changed their pfp and left a funny comment on Wade (our CEO’s) post, won a $200 Uber Eats gift card.

Day 4: Content Baby Content

The actor who plays AL made an appearance at Summit!! Can you say amazing content opportunity?!?!

AL (the character) came with us running around Summit all afternoon.

We got a lot of funny-awkward video content of him interacting with the team, and even filmed some impromptu skits with him for social!

Day 4 (part 2): Bonding

My secret: I accidentally stayed out with some people from the Sales team until 3am the night before… so I did all of Day 4 on approximately 3.5 hours of sleep.

Our team bonded by taking the Warner Bros Studio Tour!! And I almost fell asleep in the car on the way there (twice)

It's fine, we can sleep when we're dead!

There were so many photo ops from some of the most iconic sets: Friends, Gilmore Girls, Pretty Little Liars, Abbot Elementary, and a bunch of other music videos, TV shows, and movies.

And if you want an Instagram picture, best believe we’re getting the shot!!!

Day 5: Free Day

Most people flew home on Friday, but we were able to stay in LA on Friday as a “free day” to go do fun stuff!

If I’m being so real, I was a little overstimulated so I ate Erewhon alone in my room. I needed the $25 Hailey Bieber smoothie to heal me.

I also got a steak burrito 🤌

Even as a girl who loves to make friends and meet people, this was A LOT!!! But soooo fun!

If you work remote, go to the IRL stuff!!!! Seriously. It makes everything easier after, I promise 🙂
