Feeling philosophical?
One of the biggest shifts you can make if you want to change your life is your mindset.
I've been obsessed by how powerful our thoughts can be for the past 5 or 6 years (yes, a product of journaling and hot girl walking during COVID).
Building a mindset that actually serves you and your goals isn’t a one and done situation. It's something you practice every single dayyyy
I have a very long, highly curated Notes app list of quotes I come back to whenever I notice I'm not embodying the version of myself that I truly want to be.
So wanted to share some of my favorites as a reminder for us all! Hope at least one of these resonates 🫶
May your choices reflect your hopes and not your fears
Take your play very seriously! A good game is fun for everybody
There are many paths to the finish line
Be prepared to contribute
Never underestimate the effect you have on others
What would a person you are jealous of do in this situation?
Your brain only knows what you focus on
What's one more thing you could do today so you go to bed proud of yourself?
The messy part is where you grow
Having an opinion is not that hard
Keep moving forward with certainty, the light always comes on
Why would you have the vision in your head if you couldn’t achieve it
The more difficult and scary things you do, the less difficult and scary things there are
The grass is greener wherever you are
It is sexy to try & cool to care
You are never going to be rewarded for lack of action
What you’re not changing you’re choosing
If it’s meant for you, you won’t have to grip it so tightly
Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready

You know what to do

Mid year check in: are you getting enough sleep?
Not proud of it, but woman enough to admit it: ever since moving to NYC in January, I’ve been prioritizing having fun every day instead of getting a good night’s sleep
Average is 5-6 hours, I fear.
Hot people have top tier brain function, and your sleep is essential for that!
It helps you process memories
Regulates your mood and emotions
And gives the brain time to repair itself so you can focus better and learn more
Be better than me and go get some actual rest!!
If anyone has any tips on how to get on a consistent sleep schedule, reply and help a girl out

Meme/trend you should know: “The saxophones keep getting louder”
Origins: A dramatic and tragic scene from Boyz N The Hood. In the movie, the saxophone score starts playing just before the character gets chased down and shot 😭 Watch at your own risk.
Using the same music from the movie, it’s used in TikToks and Reels today to share a situation where you realize something is going terribly wrong, painfully awkward, or flat out devastating.
Basically when things go from “this is fine” to “oh hell no” in a matter of seconds, like this guy who showed up to the wrong wedding…
An example: “When you’re the last one from your flight waiting for your luggage, but the saxophones keep getting louder” = Your luggage is lost bro
